Employment contract templates

Employment contracts are legal documents that outline the terms and conditions of employment. They go beyond a letter of offer and are more detailed, establishing the legal employment relationship between an employer and employee.

A contract sets out clear expectations and obligations regarding the relationship that protects both the employee and employer from potential disputes, misunderstandings, or conflicts in the future.

Meeting Legislative Obligations

A well-prepared employment contract will reflect how your business operates, while also confirming current legislative requirements for the employment relationship.

Amendments to industrial relations legislation and various court cases in recent years have changed and redefined many employment relationships and employment conditions.

Employers mustn't be caught out as fines and other penalties can apply where employers have knowingly or recklessly failed to correctly represent the relationship and employment conditions.
